PROGRAM IHYA RAMADHAN KUPTM 2016

Kuala Lumpur, 21st JUNE 2016 – Students from Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA (KUPTM) again step forward to demonstrate their ability by organizing Program Ihya Ramadhan: Gotong Royong Memasak Bubur Lambuk with the involvement of all staff and students.

The program which started at 9.00 a.m. and ended around 4.00 p.m. was held at the car park of KUPTM. Most staff were working together with the caterer who was also lending their hands to make this event successful. ’Bubur Lambuk’ was not only distributed to KUPTM staff and students, but also to the nearby residents.

LRT Pandan Jaya was the first place that our Deputy Vice Chancellor of Students Affairs Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohamad Nasir and three students from Students Representative Council or well known as Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP) KUPTM distributed ‘bubur lambuk’ to residents. The distribution continued with our Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Prof. Dr. Zubaidah, Students Affairs Department, Deans and lecturers with the help of MPP participated in the distribution. Other locations that involved in the distribution were LRT Cempaka, Masjid Dagang, Surau Dagang, Surau Pandan Jaya, Surau Cheras , Surau Shamelin, Espek, Surau Al-Ahya, Masjid Pandan Indah and LRT Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS).

Muhammad Ariff Bin Mohd Amin from the left as the Project Manager and Student Representative Council ( MPP ) achieves his target, 4000 unit ‘bubur lambuk’ give to the staff KUPTMKL and nearby residences. This programmed held once a year by the Students Representative Council. The ‘bubur lambuk’ were gived within 2 hours and the ‘bubur lambuk were finished’. This year, MPP KUPTMKL appears again play an important role to serve all KUPTMKL staff, students and community.

Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam said,

مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِماً كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ شَيْءٌ

"Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person."

KUPTM KL FIRST DESTINATION OF CHAIRMAN TOUR

KUALA LUMPUR, 12 January 2016 – The new Chairman of Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM), Yang Berhormat Haji Ahmad Nazlan Bin Idris begins his 2016 Roadshow Tour to meet the staffs and students from KPTM campuses all over Malaysia with Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA Kuala Lumpur (KUPTMKL) as his first stopover.

This was his first meeting with the community of KUPTM KL. The meeting which was held in two sessions has received encouraging response from the staffs and students.

Most of them were satisfied when the top management of KPTM went to the ground to meet with them and listen to their voices.

The Chairman also made a visit to all sections in KUPTM KL including the student hostels.

Also present during the visit were the Vice President of Academic cum Acting Chief Executive Officer of KPTM, Encik Ismail Bin Junuh, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of KUPTM KL, Prof. Dr. Khairul Baharein Bin Mohd Noor and the management of KUPTM KL.

KPTM Kuala Lumpur Celebrated Dean’s List Awards and Excellence Students

KUALA LUMPUR, March 27th - KPTM Kuala Lumpur celebrated its 385 excellence students and Dean List awardees in Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan Akademik KPTM Kuala Lumpur July 2014 session. The ceremony was to honour students who show outstanding academic performance and score CGPA 3.50 and above in Computing course (Technical) and CGPA 3.75 and above for non-technical course. For Professional programmes (ICSA dan ACCA), the achievement mark of the awardees is 70 percent and above.

The ceremony was graced by YBhg. Tuan Haji Mohamed Roseli Bin Dol, Director of MARA Vocational and Technical Division.The ceremony was initiated with a speech by CEO of KPTM, Prof. Dr. Azali Mohamed, followed by a speech from Tuan Haji Mohamed Roseli Bin Dol.

The awards were presented to the students from faculties of Business and Accounting, Computer Science and Information Technology, English Language Studies and Professional Programme. The highlight of this ceremony was the special award presentation, "MAICSA- Proze Winner kertas ‘Business Ethics’ (Distinction) Disember 2014". The ceremony was concluded with the singing of KPTM official song "Ke Puncak Awan".

Mohd Hanis Awarded Anugerah Pendidik Terbilang MARA 2015

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 June – The Appreciation Ceremony of Hari Pendidik MARA 2015 themed Guru: Membina Ilmu Menyempurnakan Akhlak, was officiated by the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, YB. Dato’ Seri Hj. Mohd Shafie bin Hj. Apdal. Also present were Director-General of MARA, Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad, the Deputy Director-General of Management Services, Datuk Zanudin Ab. Rahim and the Council Members of MARA, Datuk Dr. Yusoff Yacob and Datuk Ariss Samsudin. The ceremony was held at Mutiara Ballroom, The Royale Chulan Damansara with the presence of about 800 guests.  

Speaking at the ceremony, the minister expressed his appreciation to the teachers whose efforts played a key role in educating the future generation through the aim of producing role models with ultimate commitment towards national development. He also mentioned that the contributions and sacrifices shed by the teachers will always be commemorated.  

Following the speech, three award categories were announced namely Anugerah Pendidik Terbilang MARA 2015,  Anugerah Khas Pendidik MARA 2015 and Anugerah Tokoh Pendidik MARA 2015.

Mohd Hanis, the Senior Lecturer from Mathematics and Computer Science Department in KPTM Kuantan was awarded with Anugerah Pendidik Terbilang MARA 2015. He was among the nine recipients of the award from MARA Educational Institutions (IPMa) in conjunction of Hari Pendidik MARA 2015. He brought home cash prizes worth RM 5000.00 including a plaque and a certificate. Apart from Mohd Hanis, the two other finalists, Hanafizah Yaakob , the Senior Lecturer from KPTM Kuala Lumpur’s Computer Science Department and KPTM Kota Bharu’s Business Management Lecturer, Yuslahiza bt. Mat Yusof @ Ab. Aziz received consolation cash prizes worth RM 1000.00 and  appreciation certificates respectively.  
Mohd Hanis is a very dedicated, student friendly lecturer who is very keen on developing close ties with the students through his participation in various competitions and sports as well as outdoor activities including study trips and volunteering works. In co-curriculum, he represented MARA Negeri Pahang at Sukan MARA 2014 in Volley Ball (Silver Medal) and KPTM Kuantan at Sukan Piala Pengerusi KPTM in Soccer (Silver Medal). He also managed and coached the KPTM Kuantan soccer team. The endless list of excellence and achievements scored him an award in the Teaching and Learning category as the Best Lecturer at KPTM Kuantan before he was finally chosen for the Pendidik Terbilang MARA 2015 award.   
The Tokoh Pendidik MARA 2015 award was honoured to Mohd Hussain Ibrahim, the former Senior Director of MARA Education and Training Department. Another award, the Anugerah Khas Pendidik MARA was presented to the late Loh Mei Lin through the deceased’s mother.

Also present during the Hari Pendidik MARA 2015 were the Chief Executive of KPTM, Prof. Dr. Azali Mohamed, the Vice President of Academic, En. Ismail Hj Junoh as well as the management members and campus representatives of KPTM.
